Design and Development

If you need a specific antenna or RF component designed from scratch, this is the service for you. We agree on the requirements, after which I will deliver a complete solution. You receive the full report, the design files, and the simulation data so you can move on to production with confidence.

Simulation and Validation

If you already have a design ready and want to have validation testing done, I can provide a high fidelity simulation. I run the numbers, analyze the performance, and provide you with the results. This service is a straightforward way to validate your work before you commit to a full hardware build.

Tailored Advice

Sometimes you do not need a full design cycle or a complex simulation. You might just have a technical question or need a second opinion on an RF challenge. I offer approachable, expert advice to help you clear hurdles quickly through a simple consultation or a brief technical review.

Software and Systems

As the developer of the EMerge FEM solver for Python, I provide specialized support for users of my software and other EM tools. Whether you need custom features, integration help, or have a larger contract in mind, reach out and we can find a way to make the technology work for your team.

Pricing

I believe consultancy should be straightforward and goal-oriented, especially for small businesses with specific problems to solve. My intent is to make sure my clients know exactly what to expect before we begin working on a project.

The nature of RF design dictates that the complexity of a given project is not always obvious at first glance. Because of this, my starting point is always an in-depth interview, where we discuss the specific requirements of your project. This interview is conducted before any hours are billed and any development work commences. This allows the design process to hit the ground running, without scope creep or further alignment required to stay on-target, allowing you to focus on your product.

Bespoke Projects

For larger assignments or complex antenna designs, the scope is naturally more fluid. Such projects often require multiple iterations to get them exactly right; to reflect this, the time and investment required will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. I aim to always provide you with a clear and accurate estimate of the scope before work commences on your project. My commitment to the satisfaction of my customers and the integrity of my work is paramount -- I ensure all my projects are brought to a resolution that every party is satisfied with.

Defined Packages

If your needs are very clearly defined, such as a design validation or a minor redesign, I can offer semi-fixed price packages. If the scope of the work is clear, I believe the pricing should be as well. Please refer to the overview of defined-package pricing options below:

1 / Simulations and reporting.

This service includes modeling your existing RF design in the EMerge FEM solver, extracting the results and then sharing those results (plus the simulation files) with you.

The final price will depend on the complexity and number of designs, and the number of simulation variations.

Starting Price: € 1000,- (excl. VAT)

2 / RF Design and Validation

This service includes the complete (re)design of a passive microwave product such as antennas, PCB/microwave filters, radomes and others.

The final price will depend on the complexity of the design and specifications. I create the design, guided by your constraints and requirements. Working with respect for your intended goal, I may propose technical interventions as required, making sure your desired result is achieved in the most (cost-)effective way.
